I wonder how many Nokia phone owners have no idea how to go about installing Java games or applications onto their phones. The mobile booklets available at Mobile Booklet will be useless to folks who don’t know how to install them on their phones. I’ve been googling for tutorials on the subject of installing java apps for Nokia phones and managed to get some online tutorials. I consider these tutorials not friendly enough for non-technical folks. I’m sharing them here in hope that some of you may find them useful. I’m sure my mum would not know be able to follow their instructions.
Here’s the list of tutorials on installing java applications on Nokia phones:
- How to download and install applications and games on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - Specific for the Nokia 5800 but the section on Nokia PC suite should be useful for other Nokia phone models too.
- Java Applications and the Nokia Mobile Phone – The Inner Story on the Nokia PC Suite. A short article from Associated Content. Not much details given.
- How to transfer files by USB cable between the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and a Windows, Linux or Macintosh computer – Another article specific to the Nokia 5800 but with useful information for similar Nokia phone models.
- How to install Java and Applications on your Mobile – Tutorial – Tips on installing applications using Bluetooth or using a card reader with the memory card for the phone.
