Create EPUB ebooks online at MobileBooklet.com

Last week was a busy week of hacking together the first version of the EPUB publishing code for MobileBooklet.com. Now, MobileBooklet.com has the ability to create ebooks in EPUB format. When you click generate files in MobileBooklet to create your ebook, you’ll get your ebook in 4 different formats; java midlet, ipod notes, rss and epub.

EPUB ebooks is becoming the most popular ebook format for ebook readers with Google and Apple behind it. Google has this huge collection of 1.5 million public domain books on their Google Books website available in EPUB format. The new iPad from Apple has an iBook app for reading EPUB ebooks. Apple has also released 30,000 free out of copyright books in their iBooks store in EPUB format.

Offline Mobile RSS Feed Reader at JARSS.com

There’s a beta test version of an offline RSS Feed Reader available over at http://www.jarss.com. This offline rss feed reader packages multiple rss feeds into a single java app download.

Currently, BBC News and Guardian rss feed readers are available and are refreshed periodically.
